Hello Readers!

Welcome to my first book review!

So I just finished Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas, let's begin the review!

THE COVER!

Okay, I think that the cover is super kick-butt! I kinda get more of a modern biker feel of the charater instead of the fantasy genre the book actually is, though. I really like the art style of the book. The cover that is in the picure is the one I have, but actually it is not the first cover it was printed in, but I like this one alot better.

THE FANDOM AND FANART!

Personally, I love to read a book with a strong fandom and amazing fanart. It is always the saddest moment when you read an amazing book that has a small or nonexistent fandom. I am so impressed with people's amazing ability to create fanart, since I am not so artistically gifted, so I love to look at people’s talents. So I plan to make a small section of each of my reviews a showcase for some of my favorite fanart and or interesting things I find.

Here’s some fantastic fanart I found for Throne of Glass…

WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Celaena Sardthien is an Assassin in a world where magic is forbidden and was wiped violently from every city. Celaena had become very infamous for her achievements of killing, but everyone screws up sometimes. When your assassin and screw up it never ends well. And for Celaena she had been captured and sent to a work camp, an awful place where every day Celaena fears for her life. But one day everything changes, she is summoned into the presence of the crown prince, a young handsome man named Dorian. He tells Celaena that the King has decided he wants his own personal assassin; he has made a competition where the noble's select champions to compete to become the King’s Champion AKA the King’s Assassin. The crown prince has chosen Celaena as his champion, and she is offered her freedom as a reward. She accepts, and is escorted back to the kingdom by Dorian and the head guard, another handsome man named Chaol. The competition begins, Celaena is not the only infamous person to compete, they're thieves, killers and more. The tension is high. Betrayal and sabotage is around every corner. But the suspense continues when competitors are found dead, torn brutally apart, Celaena investigates and find out that maybe not all magic has been crushed, and secrets have been unearthed. It’s up to Celaena to find the killer and make them pay…

MY THOUGHTS!

To be honest, I was disappointed. DO NOT get me wrong I really enjoyed the book, but I expected so much, I had heard nothing but amazing things, but it just wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. I had a hard time getting into it, but once I got haft way I was flying through it. So there is suppose to be a love triangle between Celaena, Dorian and Chaol, but I didn’t really find it. I could clearly see the sparks flying between Celaena and Dorian. I could tell that Chaol like Celaena, but there was no movement in that relationship which disappointed me. I would have liked to see more into the competition but it was barely mentioned. I Loved Celaena as a character, she was spunky and super sassy, she definitely put the sass in assassin. I am defiantly going to continue on with the series so stay tuned for my next review.
